This is a challenging and fulfilling role where, as a Strategy & Business Implementation Manager within the central Governance & Planning team in Group Operations, you have the opportunity to work in a high performance environment, delivering key strategic initiatives at the forefront of the COO (and broader bank) agenda.

As part of this, you will:

Support the Head of Function and Senior Business Manager, COO Office, with the development of the Group Operations Strategy and the implementation of key business initiatives in partnership with the wider Senior Leadership team;

Play a key role in validating inputs to the annual strategic planning process including implications from a customer, operational and risk perspective.

Manage multiple strategic deliverables, demonstrating an ability to think on your feet and react quickly to adhoc requests and tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Senior Business Manager and Head of Function to drive the strategic development agenda, preparing presentations and reports to Executive and Board standard
  • Manage the strategic planning process for Group Operations, ensuring teams across the division are appropriately supported to engage in the process and guiding the development and review of divisional business plans to ensure consistency in approach
  • Lead and/or provide support in developing business / benefit cases (including strategic relevance, investment requirements, risk & operational implications, timelines and resourcing) for all proposed initiatives to assess strategic fit and enable prioritisation acccordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Strategy division in building out the integrated strategic plan for the bank.
  • Understand and constructively challenge the assumptions that underpin strategies and their associated business cases
  • Support in the development of ad-hoc strategy papers for the COO, as required, providing insights on focus areas to identify potential opportunities
  • Manage the Performance Monitoring and Reporting process for division, ensuring a consolidated view of all critical KPI¿s that is supported by an appropriate level of context and business insight.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and stakeholder management methods are maintained at all times to optimise delivery of strategic initiatives across the department.
  • Develop strategic analysis for the division, documenting market, competitor and customer trends to inform the strategic planning process.


 
Requirements:
  • 5+ years post third level qualification professional business experience
  • Strategy experience in a financial services setting would be preferable
  • Strong project management skills - ability to manage other and deliver in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • A strategic mind-set with excellent communication, stakeholder management and planning skills.
  • Self starter with the ability to lead, influence and motivate teams and key stakeholders.
  • Genuine passion for delivering high quality Strategy work and ambition to both learn and grow in the role, and to develop others
  • Self-starter who has the ability to deliver results through cross-functional engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple initiatives, to tight deadlines without compromising on standards.
This is a Permanent role based in PTSB St. Stephens Green (Head Office) in Dublin with a hybrid option.
