Project Manager

The Role:

  • Execute project schedules in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, ensuring time requirements and sequencing of project elements are in line with the overall project programme.
  • Analyse the reliability of machinery and equipment
  • Manage project budgets including cost projections, costings, contingencies and spend and commitment tracking. Report any potential overspends to Project Manager.
  • Manage contractors on assigned engineering projects with particular focus on health and safety.
  • Complete and refresh all training specific to role as and when required.
  • To initiate and assist with the design, costing, justification, and implementation of various civil and process equipment projects at the site.
  • Producing specifications for purchase and negotiating purchase contracts with equipment / service suppliers.
  • Investigating emerging processes and technology to provide innovation and production efficiency improvements.
  • Leading small and large CAPEX projects
  • To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
  • Ensure compliance with updated regulations and legislation (including but not solely limited to integrated pollution and prevention control legislation).
  • As part of the Engineering team, document and investigate all environmental related incidents. Update Environmental impact register and carry out any environmental projects / studies as required.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following:

  • Engineering Qualification
  • Strong CAPEX experience
  • Problem solving / root cause identification.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills
