They are now seeking to appoint a Staff Grade Medical Scientist to join their state-of-the-art laboratory on a permanent basis. Job Overview: Although this post will be initially biochemistry-based, our client enables all the Medical Scientists to maintain and grow their skills and knowledge across disciplines thereby facilitating development and career progression. This is a fantastic opportunity to be trained in Haemotology, Blood transfusion, Microbiology andBiochemistry. What you'll need to succeed: Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting, ideally in a working in a hospital environment. Hold full registration with CORU Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine. Experience of ISO15189 compliance. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to continuous professional development and education. Eligibility Criteria: Possess an appropriate Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from an approved University OR Possess the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or the Regional Technical College, Cork awarded prior to 1994 Hold full registration with CORU. Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine Previous experience in Haematology, Biochemistry, Blood transfusion or Microbiology in a clinical laboratory laboratory setting.
