Job Description Billing Administrator Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barrington's is currently recruiting a BillingAdministrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate input of financial data into the accounting system with the purpose of producing correct invoices in line with the Health Insurance contracts to ensure timely payment of submitted claims. You will be required to work in accordance with the Hospital finance strategy and contribute towards achieving the agreed objectives. Post: Full-time, Permanent Contract Salary: From €29,810 per annum dependent on relevant experience Hours: 35 hours per week, flexibility around working days and times is an inherent part of these roles. The position would suit a self-motivated person with an ability to work effectively as part of a team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible, hard-working and efficient. Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Input of debtor Invoices for allocated days into the company financial system. Following up with consultants/external billing companies for all professional invoices required to submit claims. Collation of claims to ensure timely processing of claims by the Health Insurance Companies Ensure that the agreed KPIs are met: All invoices to be processed and sent to Insurance company within 10 days of patient discharge. Achieve the agreed debtor days target. Reduce Debtor Days Outstanding Liaise with other departments where necessary regarding returned claims. In conjunction with the Claims Manager & Senior Accounts Assistant partake in planned service developments within the Finance area. Take part in Continuous Improvement initiatives suggesting process improvements. Participates, as directed, in Finance related audits. Awareness of cut off times of insurers so that each claim is maximized; again, prioritizing higher value claims. Need to take ownership and report weekly on the following by insurer to include but not limited to: Unbilled claims, Last date claims billed, Claims sent. Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations, through training, monitoring, and audit. Eligibility Criteria: Leaving Certificate or Have passed an examination of at least equivalent standard. Have a minimum 1-2 years experience in a finance function / Have satisfactory relevant experience, which encompasses demonstrable equivalent skills. Previous invoicing or billing experience would be advantageous. Have excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Knowledge in relation to the management of Confidential Patient Information. Demonstrate flexibility to work within a team, in a demand driven environment. Have good IT skills. Be willing to carry out specific tasks relevant to the role as assigned by the Site Lead Revenue Cycle / Finance Manager. To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines, and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital. Bon Secours Health System is developing a new 170 bed medical facility in Ballysimon to the east of Limerick City. Building works continue to progress with a plan to open this new state-of-the-art hospital in 2025. This commitment will see the expansion of surgical specialties currently delivered by Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons plus the addition of cardiology, MAU, and other medical services.
