Mayo, with a nationwide presence, is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join their team. This position offers a competitive salary of up to €70,000 per annum, along with the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects across Ireland. Company Overview Founded in 2007, our client is a leading electrical contracting and consultancy company, specialising in lighting solutions and utility services across Ireland. They are the country's largest dedicated Sports Lighting Contractor and maintain over 200,000 public lights. Known for their commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, they are dedicated to empowering communities and leading with innovation. Role Overview Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for the efficient management and operation of the company's fleet. This includes ensuring fleet safety, compliance, cost-efficiency, and optimal performance. The Fleet Manager will also oversee scheduling, maintenance, driver management, and logistics optimisation. Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations: Oversee daily fleet activities, ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation of resources. Vehicle Maintenance: Manage maintenance schedules, preventive repairs, and coordinate with external vendors. Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet legal, environmental, and safety regulations. Driver Management: Monitor driver performance and adherence to safety standards. Cost Management: Track fuel usage, manage the fleet budget, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Tracking & Reporting: Use fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance and generate reports for senior management. Procurement & Disposal: Handle vehicle procurement and the disposal of outdated assets. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and management skills. Proficiency in fleet management software and telematics. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for liaising with drivers, vendors, and stakeholders. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, regulatory standards, and data analysis. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. (Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.) Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fleet management or logistics. Certifications: Fleet management certifications (e.g., CAFM) are preferred but not required. License: Valid driver's license with a clean record. Location: Claremorris, Co.
