We're seeking a dynamic Senior FP&A Analyst to join a growing Finance Department in Limerick on a 12-month contract. Under the guidance of our Chief Financial Officer, the Senior FP&A Analyst will take charge of the FP&A function and associated tasks at a publicly traded software firm experiencing rapid global expansion. This role offers an exhilarating prospect for a driven individual eager to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

 
Role Overview
The Senior FP&A Analyst will spearhead the direction and operation of FP&A functions, crafting annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with department managers for senior management and Board presentation. With a keen eye for detail, they will ensure the accuracy of financial plans through regular interaction with commercial, professional services, and business teams, particularly sales management and professional services, to maintain up-to-date revenue forecasts and track progress against targets. This role entails analyzing monthly actuals against budgets to support reporting processes, meeting stringent deadlines for external finance providers, and assisting in due diligence exercises. Moreover, the Senior FP&A Analyst will play a pivotal role in coordinating the preparation of management reports, identifying areas for cost savings, and driving improvement initiatives across the finance department and the business. Collaborating closely with the CFO and executive team, they will contribute to long-term financial planning while staying abreast of industry benchmarks and alternative budgeting systems for ongoing enhancement of forecasting processes.

 
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification and possess over 5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years spent in financial planning and analysis roles. Proficiency in Excel is crucial, with additional skills in Microsoft Office applications desired, and experience with Power BI considered advantageous. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring accuracy in both numerical and written tasks, while a positive, self-motivated attitude coupled with excellent communication and teamwork abilities is essential. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are sought after, alongside potential experience with non-Excel budgeting/planning systems and a background in public companies. Familiarity with NetSuite (including NetSuite Planning & Budgeting) or Hyperion is a bonus.
