Financial Controller Reports to: CEO My client is a start up tech company. As we scale, we are seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of our financial operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-growth environment, contributing directly to the company's financial health and success. Role Overview As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing our finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insights that drive business growth. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing cash flow, and implementing financial controls to support a rapidly scaling business. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to support business growth. Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to senior leadership. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. Develop and implement financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk. Strategic Support & Business Partnering Provide financial insights to support fundraising efforts, including investor relations and due diligence. Work closely with the CEO and department heads to align financial strategy with business objectives. Support pricing strategies, cost optimization, and financial modeling for new initiatives. Systems & Process Improvement Implement and optimize finance systems and automation tools to improve efficiency. Develop scalable processes to support a growing business and international expansion. Support grant applications and R&D tax credit claims where applicable. The person: Qualified Accountant with 3+ years of experience in financial accounting or controlling, preferably within a startup or high-growth tech company. Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and financial compliance. Experience with SaaS or software business models an advantage Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate financial data effectively. Hands-on experience with fundraising or investor relations is a plus. Salary: €90k plus share options. Hybrid working available.
