During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a weekly wage, financially supported for travel to college, or provided with accommodation. With BAM's construction sites located across the country, we endeavour to place you in a location of your choice-helping you answer the question, "What if my future starts here?" Your mission On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified quantity surveyor, with an NFQ Level 9 Master's degree in Advanced Quantity Surveying. As an advanced quantity surveyor, you will estimate and control the costs of large construction projects and manage the contractual relationships between involved parties. You will be involved in solving problems and finding practical solutions to improve the performance of specific projects. You will select appropriate value management and cost control techniques to suit bespoke projects. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a college leaver who is looking to start their career in the construction industry. You'll need good communication skills, be an excellent team worker but also be able to use your initiative. As this is an apprenticeship, you must be prepared to work towards your qualification whilst also working on site and gaining the experience you need to succeed. To undertake this Apprenticeship, you must have either : A primary honours degree (Level 8) in a built environment programme with a minimum award of 2.2 Or Have successfully completed a Post Graduate Diploma in a built environment programme Or An appropriate professional built environment qualification (i.e. Chartered membership of the SCSI, EI, CIOB etc.) and at least 2 years relevant professional experience/responsibility Or A primary honours degree (Level 8) with a minimum award of 2.2 and at least 5 years relevant professional responsibility and experience within the built environment and/or ability evidenced by an RPL portfolio of prior experience and learning. Equivalent Qualifications. Applicants with equivalent qualifications on the European and International frameworks will also be considered Or Special Case Registrations: Prospective participants who do not meet the entry requirements for the programme detailed above, but who may qualify for admission by meeting certain other equivalent criteria, should contact the consortium team for advice in the first instance. Note: An interview may form part of the selection process for special case registrations What's in it for you?
