This is a 20 hour part-time role with flexible hours, based on the client's needs.
The role is Monday – Friday but may require occasional evening or weekend shifts.
The nurse will work primarily in the client's residence, adapting to the home environment.

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered General Nurse (RGN) to provide dedicated and personalised care to a single client in the Enfield area in Co Meath. The successful candidate will work closely with the client, their family, and a team of carers and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and support. This role requires a commitment to personalised care, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to meet the unique needs of the client.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Valid and active registration as a General Nurse (RGN) with the relevant nursing board.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in personalized care.
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of current healthcare practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centred approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

Client Care:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to the individual needs of the client.
  • Monitor and assess the client's health and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other medical interventions as prescribed when needed.

Care Planning:

  • Collaborate with the client, their family, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Regularly review and update care plans to reflect the client's changing needs and goals.
  • Health Monitoring: Conduct regular health assessments and maintain detailed records of the client's health status. Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in medical condition.
  • Manage the client’s team of carers to ensure spot checks reviews and training are all at the standard expected.
  • Oversee rosters to ensure hours are full filled weekly.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate with the client, their family, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide clear and empathetic explanations of medical conditions, treatments, and care plans.
  • Coordination of Services: Collaborate with the clients care team, such as physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care. Arrange and coordinate necessary medical appointments and diagnostic tests

Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
  • Ensure that emergency protocols are in place and understood by relevant parties.

Comfort and Support:

  • Provide emotional support to the client and their family, fostering a positive and caring environment.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and ensure the client's comfort and well-being.
