As an Accommodation Assistant, you play a vital role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and sparkling-clean environment that supports the comfort and wellbeing of our guests.

Purpose of the role:

To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene in all areas of the hotel — from guest bedrooms to public spaces — ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

Care – Making our guests feel at home

- Clean assigned guest bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies, corridors, and public/leisure areas to the highest standards.
- Restock bedroom and bathroom supplies as needed, ensuring all amenities are available and presented beautifully.
- Provide turndown and VIP services when required, showing special attention to detail.
- Ensure the prompt and accurate collection, charging, and return of guest laundry.
- Always respond to guest needs with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.

Always Getting Better – Taking pride in standards

- Participate in daily '15-minute' standards training and all scheduled training sessions.
- Follow cleaning programmes and departmental SOPs precisely to maintain quality.
- Keep linen rooms, service trolleys, and storage areas clean, organised, and well-stocked.
- Regularly clean public toilets and sign bathroom checklists hourly.
- Proactively report any maintenance issues or guest feedback for follow-up.

Doing the Right Thing – Acting with integrity

- Present for duty in full uniform, including name badge, and maintain high personal hygiene.
- Record and return all lost property in line with the department’s procedures.
- Follow all key handling and security policies.
- Return master keys at the end of each shift and ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Comply with the hotel’s staff handbook and uphold policies at all times.

Energy and Drive – Supporting the team and stepping up

- Assist with meeting room setup and service when needed.
- Ensure guest areas and corridors are clutter-free, vacuumed, and spotless.
- Take responsibility for the back-of-house cleanliness, including staff changing areas and canteen.
- Promote hotel services and facilities confidently when interacting with guests.
- Support colleagues and managers by communicating openly and working with a “can-do” attitude.

FLEXIBILITY & TEAMWORK
