Dublin, Ireland Amazon Full time

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to be part of the Dublin-based AWS Lambda service team. AWS Lambda is changing the way that companies big and small think about compute for building applications in the cloud. Lambda functions offer customers a "serverless" way to power applications, an approach that lets customers turn business logic and application code into scalable, fault-tolerant production systems without requiring every developer to become an expert in distributed systems, deployment technologies, and infrastructure management. Does offering disruptive agility, cost efficiency, and elasticity gains excite you? Love the idea of creating the future of language programming models for the next million developers? If you're excited by cloud computing, want to help lead from the innovative edge, and have a deep mastery of languages and programming workflows, then join us in making AWS Lambda the most successful computing solution on the planet

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be a critical part of the PM organization that owns the business model and P&L, feature development and prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for impactful new products. You will work across engineering, business development, and marketing leads to set strategy, define the product, and make the difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market. You will partner with the technical leaders of the organization to ensure the programming model, scalability and reliability promises, and developer experience delight our customers. As one of the team leaders, you will contribute heavily in hiring additional team members and help set the vision, values, and culture of this business. Further responsibilities include:

1. Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
2. Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
3. Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers.
4. Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.

What does it take to succeed in this role? Excited by the scale at which we work and the incredible opportunity serverless technologies represent. Passionate about simplifying complex technology into simple experiences combined with deep knowledge of programming languages. Obsessed with delivering quickly and collaboratively. Someone who possesses a strategic understanding of business objectives and is creative enough to help define what we build, with demonstrated experience leading developer-facing product efforts. Someone with exceptional communication skills to manage the large degree of external interaction with customers and partners the role needs.

Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

- 3+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
