HV/MV Project Manager Cork Due to continued growth, our client, a leading construction company operating in Ireland, the UK, and internationally, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team in Cork. Role: Lead engineering activities for the design, development, and delivery of HV substation and grid connection projects. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance. Support procurement by preparing technical scopes of work and evaluating vendor proposals. Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, EN, and other applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Lead and mentor a team of engineers throughout the project life cycle. Identify and address resourcing needs for current and upcoming projects. Proactively assess and communicate project risks throughout all stages. Collaborate with the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) function on all project-related matters.. Requirements: Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering 3+ years experience in electrical engineering design and/or project management In-depth knowledge of HV and MV network requirements in industrial settings, with a focus on resilience and system studies Experience with energy management systems and integration of automated control systems into electrical networks Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards Skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support others.
