Maintenance Technician

Summary: Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based in East Cork, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, planned maintenance and fault finding of packaging equipment. Responsibilities: Ensures adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and EHS regulations. Performs preventive maintenance tasks as per CMMS (Maximo) schedule. Works on assignments that range from semi-routine to moderately complex in nature where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Performs routine work with minimal guidance. Independently locates and diagnoses failure, replaces defective components and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs in the CMMS system. Uses a variety of hand, power and test tools and equipment. Provides general maintenance support as designated by supervisor for Packaging Production Lines. Creates or revises standard operating procedures. Utilises established precedents and policies. Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Qualifications & Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience and Trades Certificate or Engineering Degree. Technical troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
