Catalyx is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and work on our customer site in Cork. This role will operate on a rotating 12 hour shift pattern consisting of three weeks on Thursday to Saturday and a fourth week on Monday to Wednesday, with one additional make up shift each month to support full site coverage. As part of this commitment, we are continuously developing our on-site teams to support the advancement of customer operations. Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance tasks. Work on assignments that range from semi-routine to moderately complex in nature where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Perform routine work with minimal guidance. Independently locate and diagnose failure, replaces defective components and perform basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Use a variety of hand, power and test tools and equipment. Provide general maintenance support as designated by supervisor. Coordinate maintenance on critical systems / equipment with supervisor. Create or revise standard operating procedures. Perform multi-shift work as required. Comply with all safety regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Be available to respond to emergency notifications via phone. Demonstrate knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations. Utilise established precedents and policies. Demonstrates knowledge of maintenance systems, methods and procedures. Recognise deviation from accepted practice and troubleshoot. Skills & Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience within a GMP facility. Current Leaving Certificate and Trades Certificate GSL. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations. Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. Why Join Catalyx?
