Senior Health and Safety Officer A Senior Health and Safety Officer with 2+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction is required for a major infrastructure projects based in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining high safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. The successful candidate will support project teams in ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, while driving proactive risk management and continuous safety improvements. Role Responsibilities: Support the implementation of site-specific health and safety plans, procedures, and risk assessments. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety walkdowns to ensure site compliance with statutory and company safety standards. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring all corrective actions are properly followed up. Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to staff and subcontractors. Promote behavioural safety and embed a culture of proactive health and safety management. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address and resolve safety issues. Monitor the correct use of PPE, equipment, and tools in accordance with regulations. Requirements: 2+ years experience in a similar role as a Senior Health and Safety Officer or equivalent in the construction or civil engineering sector. Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Office and construction-related digital tools. Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in driving safety initiatives. Full clean driving license and the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
