Security Architecture Manager Location: Dublin Employment Type: Permanent Salary: €115,000 - €135,000 A long-established organisation undergoing a major modernisation effort is building out its security architecture capability and adding someone who can steer technical direction while still staying close enough to the systems to understand how they behave in the real world. The environment is broad-cloud, on-prem, internal platforms, edge devices, store-side tech-and the success of the role hinges on shaping security design in a way that works for the business rather than slowing it. The function is well backed, the roadmap is busy, and the architecture team is becoming central to ongoing transformation. The Role You'll be the person developing the guardrails that tie together multiple technology stacks, ensuring future projects land with security engineered into their foundations. This includes reviewing solution patterns, defining standards, guiding design decisions, and being the escalation point for architectural gaps. Expect to collaborate across infrastructure, application teams, product units, and internal stakeholders to align technical direction with the wider security strategy. Key Responsibilities * Define and maintain the overarching security architecture framework across cloud, network, applications, and data * Translate business goals into technical security patterns, principles, and design guidance that teams can actually use * Lead architectural assessments for new systems and major technology changes * Develop secure-by-default patterns for internal teams and support adoption across multiple business units * Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and operations functions to embed security early in delivery cycles * Act as the architecture representative during incident reviews, providing technical insight into containment paths and recovery options * Oversee the selection and evaluation of security technologies-participating in vendor assessments and solution comparisons * Provide mentorship and direction to a small architecture group as it scales * Contribute to roadmap planning and budget considerations tied to strategic security capabilities * Produce diagrams, patterns, and reference materials to support consistent technical decision-making Skills & Experience * Strong background in security architecture or engineering across enterprise environments * Experience operating across multiple layers (network, app, cloud, data) rather than a single specialism * Solid understanding of frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, SABSA, or similar structures * Proven ability to assess system designs, identify gaps, and articulate practical solutions * Confident working with senior stakeholders and translating technical challenges into business impact * Strong written and diagramming skills-patterns, standards, and architecture notes * Comfortable in environments undergoing technology change and modernisation * Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are advantageous but not required Reperio Human Capital acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
