Direct Buyer - 12 month temporary contract at Siemens Healthineers
Overview Join Siemens Healthineers for the Direct Buyer role on a 12-month temporary contract at our facility in Swords, Dublin. This role focuses on procurement to support production and service operations, with emphasis on lean supply practices and supplier performance.
Responsibilities Purchase materials to support production and service in line with business needs.
Maximise the use of Lean supply methods to meet delivery and inventory objectives.
Monitor key metrics in the areas of on-time delivery, inventory, cost, quality and service to achieve targets with suppliers.
Lead significant issue resolution programs with suppliers in conjunction with Engineering and Quality.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (QQI level 8).
Minimum of 5 years professional experience within Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Attributes and skills You are a team player, capable of building strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
You have a good working knowledge of procurement methods, tools, processes and reports.
You are a problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
You are self-directing, goal orientated and able to prioritize your workload.
