Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer, based in North County Dublin has instructed us to search for a Direct Materials Buyer. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of direct material suppliers and support its manufacturing operation. This is a 6 month contract role, with strong possibilities of extension.

Duties

Yourtasksandresponsibilities:

  • Purchasematerialstosupportproductionandserviceinlinewithbusinessneeds.
  • Maximisetheuseof'Leansupply'methodstomeetdeliveryandinventoryobjectives.
  • Monitorkeymetricsintheareasofon-timedelivery,inventory,cost,qualityandservicetoachieveagreedtargetswithsuppliers.
  • LeadallsignificantissueresolutionprogramswithsuppliersinconjunctionwithEngineeringandQuality

Yourqualificationsandexperience:

  • Bachelor'sdegreeinBusiness,Procurement,Logistics,SupplyChainManagement,orarelateddiscipline(QQIlevel8).
  • Minimumof5yearsprofessionalexperiencewithinProcurement,preferablywithinamanufacturingenvironment.
  • ExperienceofdealingwithabroadrangeofsupplierorganisationsacrossEurope,AsiaandNorthAmerica.

  • Youareateamplayer,capableofbuildingstrongandinfluentialrelationshipswithinternalstakeholdersandsuppliers.
  • Youhaveagoodworkingknowledgeofprocurementmethods,tools,processesandreports.
