HR Manager NTDC invites applications for a HR Manager who will be responsible for Human Resource and related Functions within NTDC. The role will ensure a high-quality delivery of HR policies, procedures and practices, ensuring compliance with employment and other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate must meet the criteria of the job specification including: Relevant Level 8 professional qualification. Candidates should hold a degree (Level 8) from a recognised third-level institution in a relevant discipline which includes specific modules on Human Resource Management. Minimum of three years experience in a human resource management role. Thorough understanding of human resources best practice and Employment Law in Ireland. Experience and practical application of Irish employment law. Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Hours negotiable with a minimum of 21 hours. The is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026. The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience based on a salary scale €56,715 - €73,730, pro-rated to the number of hours worked. Short-listing of candidates may apply. PROGRAMMES NTDC employs over 80 people directly and 150 participants through supported employment programmes, delivering: Ascend Domestic Abuse Service Roscrea Youth Services LEADER, RDP 2024-2028 SICAP 2023-2028 New Arrivals Programme Traveller Programme Childcare Services Local Area Employment Service DSP Employment Programmes Meals On Wheels Services THE ROLE AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB The HR Manager will be responsible for: Ensuring high-quality HR policies, procedures and practices Developing and supporting HR Strategy and initiatives Promoting a positive work environment Overseeing organizational policies on Health & Safety, Data Protection, etc. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruitment and Retention Professional Practice and Development of Staff Promote Positive Working Environment Human Resources Systems Work with External Agencies/Professionals Health & Safety NTDC Management Team and Organisational Development Work with the HR Committee Other General Duties PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications: Essential: Relevant Level 8 professional qualification Desirable: Relevant Level 9 qualification, CIPD accreditation Knowledge: Human resources best practices and Employment Law Reflective practice PMDS and staff appraisals Health & Safety legislation Data Protection and GDPR Experience: 3+ years in HR management Implementing employment law, health/wellbeing initiatives, policies/procedures Health and Safety and Risk Assessment Systems Core Competencies: Adaptable and detail-oriented Collaborative Team leadership Communication and presentation skills Administrative and organizational skills Policy development and implementation IT skills Discretion and integrity Other Requirements: Driving license and use of car Flexibility with hours/locations Police/Garda clearance Commitment to NTDC's vision/values TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Minimum 21 hours per week, fixed-term contract until Dec 31, 2026 (subject to continued need/funding) SALARY €56,715 - €73,730 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
