Job Description Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

The professional supports individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in both residential and community settings, assisting with personal care, medication, mobility, and daily routines while encouraging independence. Communication and care approaches are adapted to meet each person’s unique needs, fostering autonomy and promoting dignity and choice. Collaboration carried out to develop and implement individualized support plans, while accurate documentation is maintained in line with safeguarding, health, and safety protocols, always ensuring inclusive and respectful environments. In addition, the professional is expected to demonstrate flexibility in this position and be prepared to undertake additional duties as assigned by the company from time to time, including tasks that may fall outside the normal scope of work or within subsidiary companies as required.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality care and assistance to our clients personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving & transferring, supervise medication.
Observe, listen and engage with clients.
Communicate with the employer any changes or concerns in relation to Client needs/care.
Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have attained a professional qualification in Social Care or another allied care profession at a minimum of QQI Level 5.
