We are seeking a Chief Product Officer, a strategic senior leadership role responsible for leading our product function, shaping our product vision, managing project delivery and helping Fire lead in payments innovation.
Fire is an embedded payments services provider. We empower businesses to get paid, make payments, and automate their payment processes by offering integrated access to a range of payment services.
Regulated in both Ireland and the UK, Fire is a member of multiple payment schemes and networks across the UK and Europe. As an established payment services provider, we work with thousands of businesses and some of the region’s largest financial institutions to co-create and deliver innovative payment solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and customer value.
What is the role?
We are seeking a Chief Product Officer, a strategic senior-leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. Based in our Dublin HQ (with hybrid flexibility), this position will lead our product function, shaping our product vision, managing the delivery of projects and helping Fire to lead in payments innovation. As CPO, you will be responsible for:
Product Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the product roadmap and strategy, aligned with company-wide goals.
- Lead product prioritization across business, tech, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor dynamics to continuously refine our product vision.
Execution & Delivery
- Manage product delivery and lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond.
- Support high-performing product teams using an Agile delivery framework.
- Collaborate with Technology, Growth, Operations and Risk/Compliance functions to coordinate safe, compliant product releases.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
- Serve as primary product point-of-contact for executive leadership, board, and key clients.
- Work closely with Risk & Compliance to ensure products align with regulatory frameworks including PSD2, data protection, AML/CTF etc.
- Present key product metrics, insights and progress to leadership and board committees.
What should you have?
- Proven experience at senior product level in a regulated fintech or payments business.
- Track record of successfully launching payment products with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: you’re confident contributing to industry fora and committees, leading cross‑functional teams and negotiating with clients or partners.
- Experience with payment rails, embedded finance, open banking and cards.
What’s in it for you?
You will be a core member of the executive leadership team, directly shaping the product and business roadmap alongside the CEO. Fire offers competitive compensation, share options, healthcare and a PRSA pension plan. We have a startup‑like, high‑impact culture – see the direct impact of your work in customer metrics.
