Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? I am seeking a skilled Health & Safety Advisor to help maintain a culture of safety and ensure compliance across my clients operations.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will manage the Health & Safety function, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Based in Co. Galway, you’ll oversee safety for diverse road maintenance and contracting operations across Ireland, requiring frequent site visits and audits, including day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

- Build strong relationships to support the implementation of Safe-T-Cert/ISO 45001 management systems.

- Conduct regular Health & Safety inspections and audits, ensuring company protocols are followed.

- Provide expert advice on Health & Safety matters and ensure records of compliance and non-compliance are maintained.

- Manage and report on Safety KPIs, driving continuous improvement in line with strategic goals.

What You’ll Bring:

- A Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, or Engineering (Level 7/Diploma or higher).

- Professional qualifications in Health & Safety; "Managing Safely in Construction" is desirable.

- Strong organisational and communication skills, with an ability to implement change in a diverse environment.

- Exceptional attention to detail, observation skills, and a calm demeanor under pressure.

- Willingness to travel across Ireland, including overnight stays.
