Location: Bray, Co. Wicklow
Type: Contract (12 months)
Overview A leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking an EHS Consultant to join their team on a 12-month contract at their Bray site. This role will provide critical support across site operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and internal standards. The successful candidate will work closely with site leadership, project teams, and contractors to maintain and continually improve a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide EHS support and oversight across site operations and projects.
Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, and other safety documentation.
Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and closure of actions.
Deliver EHS training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
Partner with site leadership and project managers to promote a strong safety culture.
Support compliance with Irish regulatory requirements, GMP, and corporate EHS standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in EHS systems and performance.
Experience & Requirements 5+ years’ experience in EHS roles within the pharmaceutical/biopharma or manufacturing sector .
Strong knowledge of Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation.
Experience with audits, inspections, and regulatory engagement (e.g. HSA, EPA).
Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and contractor management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Relevant 3rd level qualification in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Onsite in Bray (with some flexibility)
