Overview: Trinity College Dublin’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Practice of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing teaching, research, and administrative activities within the School. This specific purpose contract, covering a maternity leave period, offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in the Practice of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities: The appointed Assistant Professor will bring an established reputation in teaching and research in the field of Practice of Pharmacy. Key responsibilities include contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with a focus on the 5-year Integrated Pharmacy Programme. This role specifically supports the activities of APPEL (Affiliation for Pharmacy Practice Experiential Learning), a collaborative initiative involving Trinity College Dublin, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and University College Cork (UCC).
Qualifications and Experience: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification and have a proven track record in teaching and research in the Practice of Pharmacy. Experience in engaging with the profession, managing practice placements, and contributing to pedagogic research is highly desirable.
