Event and Office Services Executive (Maternity Cover) We are currently recruiting for an Event and Office Services Executive to join our dynamic team on a maternity cover contract. The expected start date is December 10th, 2025, until August 7th, 2026 – Fixed Purpose Contract to provide cover for Maternity Leave. Working days are Monday to Friday and is a 39-hour working week.
The Federation currently offers a hybrid working model.
The Federation of Irish Sport is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient Event and Office Services Executive for Maternity leave cover. This is a key appointment for the Federation and will suit someone who is highly motivated and organised. The Federation is the representative body for Ireland’s National Governing Bodies of Sport and Local Sports Partnerships. Membership of the Federation is currently comprised of 110 different sporting organisations.
The Event and Office Services Executive is responsible for overseeing the seamless coordination of both Federation office operations and events. This role combines office management duties, event planning, and support for a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office environment.
The vision of the Federation is to provide a dynamic and effective voice for Irish Sport promoting the value of sport to Ireland while providing outstanding representation and services to members. The Event and Office Services Executive will seek to inform themselves of the work of the organisation, its aims and objectives and develop an understanding and knowledge of the Federation’s stakeholders and organisational needs.
Role and Responsibilities The Event and Office Services Executive will work closely with the staff of the Federation, in particular, the Head of Commercial & Marketing and the CEO.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities for the Event and Office Services Executive will include:
Lead in the provision of clerical, secretarial and administrative support to Federation staff.
Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
Ensuring Federation is compliant with lobbying & company registration.
Ensuring the efficient administration of the Federation Board, committees and working groups
Event Planning & Execution: Coordinate the planning, execution, and evaluation of internal and external company events, for example – The Irish Sport Industry Awards, the Volunteer in Sport Awards, FIS AGM, and member Networking events.
Undertake any other assignments as may reasonably be requested by the Chief Executive Officer.

A clean current full driving licence and own car is desirable due to travel involved. Garda Vetting will also apply.
