Production Manager – Food Manufacturing
Salary: Circa €50,000 per annum (negotiable) + pension, potential bonus

About the Company:
An established Irish agri-food business supplying fresh produce to leading retailers is seeking an experienced Production Manager. The high-volume, fast-paced site is commutable from Wexford Town, Gorey, Bunclody, Ferns, New Ross, Arklow, Enniscorthy, Carlow, Kilkenny, Tullow, Graiguenamanagh, Thomastown, Courtown, Riverchapel, Kilmuckridge, Camolin, Castlebridge, Bree, Blackwater, Oylegate, and surrounding areas.

The Production Manager Job:
You will oversee all aspects of post-harvest production, including operations, logistics, compliance, and team leadership. This is a senior, hands-on role offering real autonomy in a key operational position.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage production workflows and ensure timely order fulfilment.

-

Maintain food safety and Bord Bia compliance (HACCP).

-

Lead, train, and develop operators, supervisors, and drivers.

-

Oversee packaging, stock control, and inventory rotation.

-

Monitor KPIs on delivery, productivity, and waste.

-

Work closely with logistics and admin teams for accurate reporting.

Requirements:

-

3–5 years’ management experience in food production or logistics.

-

Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems.

-

B2B retailer management experience.

-

Proficient in Excel & Word; excellent leadership and communication.

Flexibility for early starts and occasional weekends during harvest; off-peak offers flexible hours and some remote work.
