VAT Specialist

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT Specialist to join a leading audit, tax, and advisory firm based in the North-East of Ireland. Responsibilities: Prepare and review VAT returns ensuring full compliance with Irish VAT legislation Assist with VAT planning, advisory, and consultancy projects across a variety of industries Liaise with clients, Revenue, and internal teams to manage VAT-related queries Support VAT audits and manage correspondence with Revenue authorities Identify VAT risks and opportunities across client portfolios Contribute to ongoing process improvements and technical training initiatives Requirements: CTA qualified or Tax Technician with a minimum of 5 years Irish VAT experience Strong technical knowledge of Irish VAT legislation and compliance Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail Proactive, client-focused, and a strong team player Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively Salary & Benefits: Salary up to €80,000, depending on experience Flexible working hours and a 4.5-day working week Funded CPD and professional memberships Paid study support and structured development programmes Free parking, wellbeing supports, social events, and more If you are a VAT Specialist seeking a new challenge, please contact Eoin O'Leary at for a confidential discussion.
