What You Need to Know Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Agile Coach Directorto join a leading global financial services organisation based in Waterford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving transformative change across multiple regions and functional departments. The role is based in Ireland with hybrid working arrangements, and occasional travel may be required. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for building and scaling an agile culture and practices across the organization while collaborating with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders. This position offers a unique chance to lead agile transformations, foster collaboration, and deliver meaningful business outcomes in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Your New Job Key duties and responsibilities: Champion the adoption of agile methodologies across the organization to enhance operational efficiency and team performance. Provide day-to-day coaching to agile squads and teams to reinforce best practices and foster collaboration. Develop and roll out tailored coaching strategies, governance structures, and frameworks to support agile maturity. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and retrospectives to instill principles of Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking across teams. Collaborate with teams and leadership to identify skill gaps, improve delivery outcomes, and define success metrics for agile transformations. Guide product owners in refining priorities, defining minimal viable products (MVPs), and aligning deliverables with client-centric goals. Measure and track squad performance and outcomes, presenting insights to leadership and key stakeholders. Introduce and refine agile portfolio management practices, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives. Support the organization in identifying value streams and optimizing workflows to deliver impactful results. Lead innovation efforts, with a particular focus on integrating cutting-edge tools and approaches into agile practices. Build strong working relationships with regional teams, business units, and leadership across global markets to drive alignment and engagement. What Are We Looking For? At least 8 years experience in an agile coaching role or equivalent. A relevant bachelors degree in business, technology, or a related discipline. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is essential. Comprehensive knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and their practical application in complex environments. Recognized agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe). Strong experience in facilitating workshops and delivering impactful training sessions. Excellent ability to coach teams through change and resistance while fostering collaboration and alignment. A proven track record in scaling agile practices across multiple teams and departments. Familiarity with Lean principles, Design Thinking, and portfolio management in an agile context. Skilled in leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and other collaboration platforms.
