Job Title: Chief Executive Officer Location: Macro Community Resource Centre, 1 Green Street, Dublin 7 Organisation Macro Building Management Purpose of Role To manage the day to day operations of the Macro Community Resource Centre Salary €51,700 per annum DOE Hours of Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Reporting to Board of Directors Job Type Permanent Full Time Overview of Organisation Macro Community Resource Centre is an organisation in Dublin 7. It is owned by Dublin City Council and managed by Macro Building Management. We provide serviced office space for local organisations and room rental for use by organisations and groups operating in the community and wider Dublin City area. Our community services include courses, activities and clubs for local individuals and families. We run a busy Charity Shop on North King Street which financially supports the operation of the centre. Macro Community Resource Centre operates on the social enterprise model and all profits from services are reinvested back into the community and used to fund the supports we provide. Dublin City Council provide funding to ensure we are able to maintain a quality service, and we are part of the Community Services Programme, funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by Pobal. Responsibilities of Role Management of day to day operations of organisation by leading an experienced team made up of administration, communication, retail and facilities staff Working with Dublin City Council to manage licenses spaces and provide support to resident Securing and managing core and project funding, including communication with government funders and compliance with funding terms. Ensuring compliance with Charities Governance requirements Ensuring that the building is safe and well maintained, and that service contracts and maintenance schedules are in place and up to date Overseeing the management of all profit generating services, including meeting room hire, catering service, charity shop and office rental Adhering to financial oversight policy and ensuring that robust systems are in place, including record keeping, reporting to the Board of Directors and preparation of the annual financial audit Ensuring that all required HR, Financial and Governance policies are in place, communicated to staff, updated when necessary and adhered to by all staff Developing and overseeing needs based community services such as adult education, youth activities and older adults services Working with the Board of Directors to develop and monitor the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation Communicating with community and organisational stakeholders to ensure that the organisation meets the needs of its target groups Ensuring that the centre is an open, inclusive and welcoming environment for all who use its services and the services of the resident groups Any other duties are required by the Board of Directors to ensure that the organisations needs are met Required Third Level Qualification in a relevant field Leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the management of staff Proven track record with securing and managing Government funding contracts Experience in community development/community based organisations IT literacy including experience with Office 365 Knowledge and experience of compliance with the Charities Code of Governance Desirable Experience managing a social enterprise Experience or working knowledge of QuickBooks and payroll packages Social media marketing experience Experience or working knowledge of website maintenance (non-coding) The Person Confident in decision making and problem solving for a multi department organisation Experienced in working with and supporting other organisations Comfortable with leading an established and experienced team of staff Has an understanding of the issues and barriers faced by an inner city community Compassionate to all centre users If you feel that you are a good fit for this role, please submit your CV and Cover Letter.
