Are you looking for a new, diverse, and dynamic underwriting position? This opportunity could be of great interest to you. Our client is seeking an experienced commercial underwriter to join their team, focusing on multi-line commercial business, especially property and liability. In this role, you will collaborate with broker partners and sales colleagues to achieve growth and profitability targets.

Daily Responsibilities:

- Underwrite commercial business according to standards and limits to meet financial goals.
- Contribute to the growth of the Commercial Lines by acquiring new business with quality risk assessment.
- Apply underwriting discipline, monitor selection criteria, and use rating tools.
- Manage referrals within the Delegated Underwriting Authority (D.U.A.) and guidelines.
- Work with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist in developing product strategies and review performance for growth and quality.
- Show initiative and professionalism in all dealings.
- Mentor staff in technical insurance matters.
- Report on new business, opportunities, trends, and market developments.
- Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting experience in property and liability.
- Proven high-performance track record.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting.
- Decisive with solid assessment skills.
- Customer-focused and deadline-oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Energetic, positive, and ambitious.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting applications.
- Professional insurance qualification, preferably CIP; ACII desirable.
- Compliant with regulatory standards.
