You will be responsible to:

Delivers excellence in end-to-end process improvement practices, methodologies and behaviours to achieve transversally operational and support services areas’ efficiencies. Demonstrates particular leadership skills to influence the right behaviours and enable alignment of priorities across areas. Supports the continuous improvement cycle aiming at the sustainable increase of unitary output (effective throughput per resource unit used). Responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining the most adequate methodologies and workflows, looking at maximization of workforce efficiency and adoption of the appropriate behaviours to enable engagement; as well as for deriving metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity to support identification of equipment and process flow bottlenecks, contributing to improved layouts whilst assuring compliance with established guidelines.

- Demonstrate track record in process optimization, continuous improvement and business transformation projects

- Propose and lead major projects on improvements with global impact in the organization

- Work to establish a culture and mindset of continuous improvement across the business

- Provide periodic long-term capacity reports

- Highlight main capacity constraints and propose possible solutions to overcome challenges

- Assess the necessary requirements for the adequate execution of the Company long-term plan and provide feedback

- Develop tools and methodologies that support technology transfer between Company Sites and Areas

- Perform periodic technology gap analysis and propose new technologies introduction

- Participate in the bidding process and support processes/projects allocation

- Participate/Manage transversal strategic projects teams

- Solve complex problems with full autonomy

- Make quality and timely decisions based on multiple sources of data and regarding a wide array of subjects

- Manage risk and uncertainty; anticipate and address roadblocks in order to prevent deviations to the goals

- Coach project team members to enhance company effectiveness and promote achievement of high standards within the organization

- Execute professional activities in compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others)

- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice

We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

- University, or equivalent, qualification in a field of Science or Engineering or similar scientific field (mandatory), preferably in Chemical Engineering

- Lean and 6 Sigma Black Belt

- Project Management qualification

- Typically requires 8–12 years of relevant experience in Industry related Continuous Improvement Initiatives and in the application of cGMPs, ICH/CFR guidelines, ISO Norms and Industrial Safety guidelines

- Experience in tools such as:- Process Mapping- DMAIC methodology- Statistical analysis- Process Plant Support

- Define and manage improvement projects across different areas of the organization with corporate impact

- Deep specialized knowledge of Process Optimization with the ability to teach others

- Deep specialized knowledge of Manufacturing principles, Quality, cGMPs, ICH/CFR guidelines, ISO Norms, Industrial Safety guidelines and Regulatory Affairs with the ability to teach others

- Deep specialized knowledge and application of statistical tools with the ability to teach others

- Strong trainer skills

- Fluency in English is a requirement

- Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package

- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down
