We are seeking a highly experienced, data-driven Senior Graph Specialist to join our Fraud & Risk Management Research & Development Centre of Excellence in Limerick . This is your opportunity to play a critical, hands-on role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the highly scalable graph databases that power our proprietary AI platform. You will ensure our systems can efficiently detect and prevent sophisticated fraud and ensure rigorous regulatory compliance.

What You Will Do As a Senior Graph Specialist, you will be the architectural and technical leader for our graph database initiatives:
Graph Architecture Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of high-performance graph databases, with a primary focus on Neo4j and AWS Neptune .
Performance Engineering: Create and deploy robust strategies for query optimization, data modeling, and indexing on massive datasets, ensuring high availability and scalability of our analytical infrastructure.
Mentorship & Guidance: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
AI/ML Integration: Directly support Machine Learning (ML) initiatives by delivering optimized, near-real-time graph queries for deep insights into payments, underwriting, and merchant monitoring.
Research & Innovation: Leverage extensive research experience to investigate state-of-the-art graph techniques and technologies (e.g., Graph Neural Networks - GNNs) to enhance our platform's capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into high-value graph solutions.
What You Will Bring Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on data, networks, or graphs.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on, senior-level experience in graph database architecture, engineering, or a related analytical role, with a proven track record of delivering complex graph projects.
Graph Expertise: Deep knowledge of graph data modeling (e.g., LPG, RDF ) and query languages (e.g., Gremlin, SparQL, Cypher ).
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise with Neo4j or AWS Neptune for knowledge graph applications is essential.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar scripting languages.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and orchestration tools (e.g., AWS Step Functions, Airflow).
Experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn) is a strong plus.
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
