Overview
We/'re looking for a dynamic Product Owner to translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and guide delivery teams in building high-impact digital products. This role bridges product strategy and technical execution, ensuring that new functionality delivers tangible business value while aligning with the wider product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers to translate business capabilities into detailed, well-defined features and user stories.
- Present and refine features with delivery teams during backlog grooming and design sessions, ensuring each item meets agreed acceptance criteria before completion.
- Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters to prioritise the backlog, set sprint goals, and provide ongoing support and clarification throughout each sprint cycle.
- Review completed sprint deliverables, formally accepting or rejecting work based on quality and functionality criteria.
- Participate in scaled Agile forums (e.g. Scrum of Scrums) to manage dependencies, align priorities, and ensure consistency across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Maintain end-to-end ownership and sign-off for product releases across all delivery stages.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including release management, portfolio management, support teams, and internal partners.
- Ensure the product backlog remains continuously prioritised to maximise business value and respond to changing priorities.
- Evaluate business value by considering customer needs, technical debt, and strategic priorities to ensure alignment across the organisation.
- Develop deep product domain knowledge and act as a subject matter expert on functionality, user experience, and business relevance.
Skills & Expertise
- Proven experience in a Product Owner role with a strong grasp of Agile product delivery.
- Skilled in defining features and non-functional requirements, writing acceptance criteria, and maintaining clear, prioritised backlogs.
- Adept at coordinating multiple teams with diverse technical skill sets.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, ideally within a SAFe framework.
- Background in AI and data engineering, with hands-on experience implementing AI-driven solutions.
- Exposure to chatbot development and/or machine learning technologies is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge the gap between business vision and engineering execution.
- Comfortable collaborating in global, cross-functional, and virtual environments.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving, dynamic setting, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor/'s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years/' experience in product ownership, product management, or business analysis within an Agile environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in a software development or technical environment.
- SAFe PM/PO certification or equivalent Agile qualification is a strong advantage.
