What is the Role

The role reports to the Customer Base Management team which sits within the Chief Customer Office (CCO). It requires a strong understanding of statistical techniques and experimental methods to ensure the success of customer base management initiatives (e.g., personalisation, lifecycle, and promotional campaigns). As a senior data scientist, you will lead designing experiments (A/B tests, online and field experiments) to measure campaign performance in the best possible way; deliver pre/post-campaign analysis; and support the development of monitoring tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Define key performance indicators (KPIs), including ROI, uplift, conversion, and churn metrics and track them through the production and maintenance of dashboards.
- Contribute to pre/post-campaign analysis with clear commentary and recommendations. Ensure statistical rigor is applied to business recommendations.
- Support and contribute to the development of robust measurement frameworks to evaluate performance of CRM, lifecycle, and promotional campaigns.
- Extract, transform, and clean the data required for modelling and analysis purposes.
- Support the team in enhancing the efficiency of data pre-processing, analysis, and reporting (e.g., increased automation).

What you Will Bring

- A master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, Behavioural Science, or Experimental Psychology. The applicant must demonstrate experience in designing experiments in either commercial or academic setting and a good understanding of microeconometrics.
- 3+ years’ experience in a quantitative analytics role.
- Advanced level of proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics, QlikView, or Tableau.
