Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for an ICT Project Officer. This position is remote working with the requirement to attend one meeting in Dublin every fortnight. The successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee working 35 hours per week. This position is also a temporary contract, initially for 12 months with the possibility of being extended. The salary on offer for this position is €55,644.00. You will also accrue 30 days annual leave per annum and be paid bank holidays. Purpose of the role: The MedLIS Phase 2 project aims to extend the national MedLIS solution, building on the successful implementation at Beaumont Hospital. This initiative seeks to standardise laboratory processes, enhance interoperability, and provide a single integrated patient record accessible across all targeted sites. The primary strategic objective of the MedLIS Phase 2 project is a rapid deployment of MedLIS within Regional Health Areas (RHA) Dublin Midlands & Dublin North East by year end 2026 using a rapid & agile deployment model. The MedLIS Phase 2 Project will directly support development of the national Electronic Health Care Record and aligns with national strategies including: Slintecare Digital for Care 2030 Draft Strategy for Laboratory Services 2025-2029 Key objectives include: Engaging with Oracle Health and local site teams to finalise deployment plans, ensuring alignment with strategies. Achieving measurable benefits such as reduced test turnaround times, improved clinician access to results, and enhanced compliance with ISO15189 standards. Role & Responsibilities Project Officer Working as part of the Technology & Transformation (T&T) function, Project Officers are expected to support the team in the deployment of the new system ICT Project Officers will be expected to report through the primary channels of the Laboratory Programme management framework Project Officers may be allocated to a portfolio of MedLIS aligned project tasks. This is to ensure efficient use and maximisation of resource expertise and availability for the duration of the contract. Skills & Experience: A track record of 3+ years successfully supporting the delivery of projects within an organisation, preferably (but not necessarily) for healthcare and this must be clearly demonstrated. Experience of project planning, report development, RAID and RACI management along with other project management tools Experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders must be clearly demonstrated in the submission Business Competencies: Displays sufficient leadership, high level of communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with multiple stakeholders Demonstrate experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to ensure that the impact of projects are maximised. An ability to quickly build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders. Good ICT, administration, presentation and report writing skills. Demonstrates and ability to support the development and delivery of a project plan. Ability to work with the other project or programme units to ensure that projects are delivered in a cohesive and planned manner. Demonstrate ability to support the implementation and management of change and business process re-organisation skills. Displays a commitment to achieving quality results including experience in evaluating the provision of services. Demonstrates an ability to perform various business analysis activities as deemed necessary for the project. Demonstrates good problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
