Position Reports to: Head of Product

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and delivery-focused Product Owner to lead the development of digital solutions that solve real customer problems and drive business value. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, backlog management, and a deep understanding of agile product development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-impact features and continuous improvement of our product suite.

Key Responsibilities

- Backlog & Delivery Management

- Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with sprint goals.

- Write and refine user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features which meet the acceptance criteria.

- Produce Product Documentation and ensure a smooth transition from development out to production of features.

- Monitor the team’s performance and give feedback to the Scrum Master or the Line Managers of the team on individuals in the team.

- Stakeholder Engagement

- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Professional Services and technical teams this includes customer-facing activities.

- Facilitate refinement sessions and sprint demos to gather feedback and validate direction.

- Engage with customers to understand pain points and incorporate feedback into product iterations.

- Product Development & Quality

- Advise QA on test cases required to ensure the features meet acceptance criteria.

- Monitor product performance and user adoption, using data to inform future enhancements.

- Strives for continuous improvement and increased organizational efficiencies.

- Support go-to-market planning and post-release evaluation.

Requirements

Essential

- Proven experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS or digital product environment.

- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum.

- Experience with ERP systems or accounts payable processes is a plus.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

- Experience in B2B product development, ideally in finance or operations tech.

- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.

- Exposure to AI/ML or automation technologies is a bonus.

- Degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
