Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Brief:
We are looking for a visionary Staff Web Engineer to join our innovative team, where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our web platform, tech stack and tools. Job Description:
As a Staff Web Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and optimizing our web platform, directly influencing the direction and success of our product suite. This role combines hands-on coding with high-level strategic thinking, allowing you to define the architecture and deployment pipelines that ensure our applications are robust, scalable, and future-ready. Your expertise will guide the technical vision and empower the team to deliver exceptional, user-centric web experiences.
In this role, you will drive key initiatives such as overseeing our next generation of web platform capabilities, repo branching strategies, CI/CD processes, and implementing customer-centric web performance optimizations. You'll also serve as a mentor and technical leader, conducting code reviews, fostering an inclusive engineering culture, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions. This is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on a rapidly evolving web platform and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and Implement Solutions: Work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions that are scalable and maintainable.
- Git Branching Strategy: Advocate and encourage Git branching strategies, ensuring streamlined development workflows, code quality, and efficient collaboration across teams.
- Manage Frequent Releases: Oversee release trains, ensuring timely and predictable release cycles. Use feature flags to decouple deployment from feature release, allowing delayed testing and progressive rollouts.
- Continuous Deployment: Partner with DevOps and drive the implementation and improvement of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring that code is automatically tested, integrated, and deployed with minimal manual intervention.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to maintain high coding standards, optimize performance, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet business goals.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize performance across the application stack, ensuring fast and responsive user experiences.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest trends and advancements in web development, bringing innovative ideas and technologies to the team.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience using modern web technologies and frameworks like React, Angular, NestJS, Node.JS, GraphQL.
- Version Control: Expertise in Git and experience managing complex branching strategies in large-scale projects.
- Continuous Deployment: Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI or others.
- Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven experience mentoring and leading teams of engineers, with a focus on fostering customer obsession, bias for action and a collaborative and team culture.
