Job Title:Project Manager Location: Carlow, Ireland Job Overview: Cental is a global supplier of pre-fabricated modular and skid mounted solutions to the Data Centre, Oil & Gas, Utility, and Life Sciences markets. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing key projects at Cental Engineering. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, resource management, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. The Project Manager will act as the central point of contact between various departments, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and seamless project integration into the overall operational framework of Cental Engineering. Individuals with experience in the construction and data centre industries, where quality, safety, and compliance standards are of paramount importance, may be particularly well-suited for this role. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and deliverables. Coordinate with the Site Manager to align project goals with company objectives. Manage project scope, change requests, and ensure all project requirements are met. Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Site Manager and key stakeholders. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and maintain the project budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources. Identify and allocate appropriate resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure timely project completion. Coordinate with department leads to secure technical, operational, and engineering resources as required. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth project execution. Lead regular project meetings, including Tier Communication sessions, to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps. Facilitate effective communication between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned with project objectives. Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans. Manage issues as they arise, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize project delays. Escalate critical risks to the Site Manager and recommend solutions. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all project deliverables meet Cental Engineerings quality standards and safety regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed project reports to the Site Manager, highlighting key metrics, milestones, and risks. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and communication logs. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team to meet project objectives and timelines. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance performance and professional growth. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Project Management Certification is highly desirable. 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a heavy-engineering, Construction or modular build environment. Proven experience in managing fixed-term projects, including scope, time, cost, and resource management. Experience with risk management and quality assurance in a construction, manufacturing or engineering environment. Key Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in project management software This role is integral to the successful delivery of Cental Engineerings key projects, demanding a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and project management acumen.
