What you'll do

The Finance Manager is a vital part of the finance team, providing critical support to senior management on various finance-related tasks. This role is a great fit for a highly motivated professional with a solid foundation in finance or accounting who is eager to build their career. The manager will work closely with the Head of Finance, often serving as their representative in managing the finance department. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of responsibilities with a flexible and adaptable approach to their work. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to learning and growth.

- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the production of monthly management accounts. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and monthly consolidation reports. Assist in preparation of in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Planning & Forecasting (FP&A): Assist in the annual budgeting process and the development and implementation of financial models for forecasting and budgeting. Assist in reporting and performance analysis including reporting to senior stakeholders and quarterly Board reports.
- Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure all financial transactions and reports adhere to company policies, as well as relevant local financial regulations. Assist in managing ongoing tax compliance (including CT, VAT, DWT). Assist in the preparation of returns required for Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) regulatory reporting. Manage and coordinate external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors. Liaise, where required, with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, banks and tax authorities.
- Operations & Risk Management: Oversee accounts, ensuring efficient management of payments and collections. Assist in the monitoring and management of the company's cash flow, optimizing working capital. Support and take ownership of projects related to the finance function. Maintain financial frameworks, policies, and procedures. Identify risks and enhance internal controls. Assist in monitoring outsourced functions.
- General Duties: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets, with a strong command of Google Sheets/Excel. Collaborate closely with other team members, providing data and insights for various projects and initiatives.

What you need to have

- Educated to degree level in Finance, Accounting, Business with excellent academic background; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA are preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, regulations, and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong overall IT systems proficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
- A practical, can-do approach to problem-solving and the ability to multitask effectively.
- High standards of conduct and ethics.
- A "right first time" attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong desire for continuous growth and learning.
- Experience working with a MiFID investment firm is a significant advantage.
- Fluency in English.
