We are looking for an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Manager to join a hospital in Westmeath. Key Responsibilities Provide expert IPC advice to clinical and non-clinical staff. Lead and support outbreak investigations and implement control measures. Conduct surveillance and audit of infection rates and IPC practices. Develop and deliver IPC education and training to staff. Review and update IPC policies and ensure compliance with standards. Qualifications & Experience Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMBI Pin Recognised qualification or training in infection prevention and control (or working towards completion). Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in infection prevention & control with experience in developing policies, conducting audits, and leading education initiatives for healthcare staff. Extensive knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, and microbiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and engage healthcare staff. Meticulous, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems Stamp 4 or EU citizenship required. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of IPC principles, microbiology, and epidemiology. Excellent communication and teaching skills. Ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
