Commercial Manager (Portugal) Commercial Manager required to join one of Irelands largest main contractorsin Portugal to work on a large Data Centre project. Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager, you will drive cost control, financial reporting, and commercial strategy while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities: Lead and develop the commercial team to deliver high performance in a fast-paced construction environment. Implement robust cost control measures and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and present commercial updates, including monthly cost reports and cash flows. Oversee procurement planning to ensure projects meet budget, scope, and schedule requirements. Promote knowledge sharing from pre-construction through delivery to align teams on budgets and procurement. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain. Manage commercial documentation, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct due diligence on subcontractors and standardize contract appointments. Ensure subcontract and purchase order documentation is complete and compliant. Manage valuation, certification, and cash collection in accordance with contractual obligations. Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline. 10+ years relevant experience in similar roles. Experience working on a Data Centre project would be beneficial. Proven leadership and commercial management skills. Excellent budgeting and financial forecasting skills. A proven working knowledge of current contract law. Experience working with main contractors; MEP and data centre experience advantageous. Knowledge of multiple procurement routes, including lump sum, remeasure, two-stage, and design-build. IT Skills Microsoft Office and either Buildsoft or CostX Benefits: Salary €110,000 to €130,000 DOE Generous tax free living away allowance paid in addition to salary Single occupancy accommodation and utility bills Attractive expat tax incentives available for up to 10 years (subject to eligibility).
