Software Engineer – Flutter UK & Ireland
Join our Sports Super Tribe to design and develop high‑performance back‑end systems for global sports betting. The role is based in Dublin, County Dublin.

Your Team
Our expert team of .NET developers works closely with quantitative analysts and traders to solve complex modelling problems, simulate sporting events, and build large‑scale, parallel, high‑throughput pricing systems on AWS. We seek experienced Software Engineers who are passionate about performant back‑end systems.

What you’ll do

Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend applications in C#

Optimise code for concurrency, low latency, and large‑scale parallel execution

Collaborate with quants and analysts to understand and deliver on modelling requirements

Support and monitor production systems – including joining an on‑call roster with 24x7 call‑outs

Help update existing infrastructure by moving code from .NET to .NET Core and migrating legacy systems to AWS

Work within a Scrum team, contributing to Agile ceremonies and owning your team’s delivery

Ensure robust testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and support CI/CD processes

How you’ll do it

Proven experience writing and optimising performance‑critical applications in C#

Expertise in parallel and multi‑threaded programming (TPL, async/await, synchronisation)

Experience with .NET Core and working in Linux‑based environments

Passion for optimising legacy systems to move to a standardised, modern toolset

Familiarity with mathematical modelling, probability theory, or statistics

Experience using (or willingness to learn) R and/or Python for data science

Exposure to build pipelines and automated production deployment systems

Experience with automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing

Knowledge of soccer and the systems used in pricing & trading is a major advantage

Strong familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or ArgoCD

Practice developing distributed systems

Practical experience with AWS

Familiarity with message queues: Kafka and RabbitMQ
