(3 Days Left) Sr. DevOps Engineer

Overview Pax8 is seeking a qualified Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Dublin, Ireland . The role can be remote with occasional on-site presence.
Responsibilities Increase developer velocity and system reliability by applying software development expertise, collaborating with engineering teams to address reliability concerns, analyzing issues and their impact on cloud infrastructure to help the engineering community work in a reliable, scalable environment
Standardize and implement baseline visibility across systems. Leverage programmatic monitoring to proactively address visibility gaps. Embed observability in the design phase to ensure resilient and dependable systems
Collaborate with Architecture and Platform teams to design automated solutions that eliminate repetitive tasks, enhance self-healing capabilities, improve service reliability, and enable developers to focus on delivering product features using proven frameworks
Prioritize security by collaborating with the engineering community to implement secure solutions, address issues proactively, and establish best practices that minimize disruptions to product development
Elevate team capabilities through mentorship, project work assistance, design guidance, and participation in support and on-call rotations
Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis to drive improvements in system reliability through rapid recovery, root cause analysis, and post-mortem action items
Qualifications Substantial experience supporting application development, preferably with microservices and Java-based web platforms
Proven software development experience
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, TypeScript, Python, Groovy, Kotlin, VueJS, etc.)
Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Mockito, Kotest, Kafka, ElasticSearch, OAuth, etc.
Experience integrating AI within the SDLC to deliver reliable solutions
Strong experience with observability platforms (e.g., New Relic, Sumo Logic, Honeycomb)
Solid understanding of core AWS services (e.g., EKS, RDS, MSK); Azure knowledge is a plus
Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, focusing on operational reliability
Experience debugging and troubleshooting applications using manual and automated methods
Database and SQL development experience
Understanding of IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Git)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
Experience in Lean/Agile environments with tools like Jira, ClickUp, Asana or similar
Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset
Ability to work with urgency, initiative, and adaptability to new opportunities and challenges
Requirements In order to fulfil this role you should be resident in this country with a valid right to work.
Salary & Benefits Basic salary between €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience
