Senior Fund Accountant

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting chance to work on high-profile investment funds that contribute to Ireland’s economic development and long-term financial planning. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position where you will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of fund accounting activities.

Location: Dublin 1 (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:


Prepare and review daily and monthly management reporting
Conduct daily NAV reviews and monitor Custodian reporting
Oversee investment reconciliations and Custodian SLA monitoring
Manage finance KPIs and assist with financial reporting
Process capital call and distribution notices
Track daily cash activity, set up wire payments, and maintain cash projections
Review investment documentation, agreements, and partner reports
Assist in year-end valuation processes and tax reporting
Contribute to process enhancements and system improvements


The Ideal Senior Fund Accountant:


Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred but not essential
Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
5 years’ experience in Fund Accounting
Strong knowledge of hedge fund markets (private market experience is a plus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities
Experience with financial instruments such as equities, bonds, funds, loans, and derivatives
Oversight experience of Custodian functions is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger applications (e.g., SunSystems)
