Senior Electrical Engineer - Substations

We are recruiting for a Senior level Electrical Engineer to join our growing Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team based in the Republic of Ireland or the UK.

About the Role

The T&D department delivers project management, design, and owners engineer roles for electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltages across Ireland and the world.

  • Primary plant layouts for HV substations.
  • Equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
  • Providing engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
  • Owners' Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
  • Providing HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation.
Your Responsibilities

You will be working with top-tier electrical, civil, and mechanical engineers to deliver captivating projects from concept to completion. You'll have the opportunity to work on cross-functional teams with colleagues from our environment, planning, project management, and infrastructure teams.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on HV projects.
  • Experience of working with major utilities or developers.
  • Experience as a designer or as project engineer.
  • Commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets.
  • Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
