Material Planner

Our Manufacturing client in North Wicklow is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to manage the flow of materials required for production. The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement, optimal inventory levels, and alignment with production schedules to support the manufacturing of high quality products.

Key Responsibilities:


Create and manage material planning schedules in alignment with production forecasts.
Track inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply of raw materials, components, and consumables.
Work closely with procurement, production, and quality teams to guarantee timely material delivery and usage.
Liaise with suppliers to handle lead times, coordinate delivery timelines, and resolve any supply-related issues.
Evaluate demand patterns and modify planning parameters to avoid shortages or overstock.
Keep ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) up to date with accurate inventory and planning data.
Assist with material planning for new product launches and engineering modifications.
Perform routine inventory checks and resolve any inconsistencies.
Adhere to GMP, ISO, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Engage in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing supply chain performance.


Key Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain within a manufacturing or biotech environment.
Experience with 3rd party manufacturing is advantageous.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
