Technical Program Manager, Amazon Security Platform Engineering

The Amazon Security Platform Engineering team develops scalable self-service systems to collect security relevant logs from internal and third-party systems. The scalable data collection services developed by this team provide seamless integration with internal tooling to ensure the logs collected are helping to drive security decisions protecting the business.
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who is excited about solving challenging problems for mission-critical systems that protect Amazon and our customers' data. In Amazon Security, our challenges are broad and deep -- we build flexible, secure, scalable, high-performance, and robust tools and services. You will help our team implement, operate, and improve current services as well as enabling the team to build new features to improve the customer experience and make it easier/faster/cheaper for the customer to get what they need.
In Amazon, we obsess over our customers, and their trust is our first priority. Trust is earned by building a highly respected security service to tackle new challenges at a large scale. In this role, you will deliver high quality, scalable logging solutions to support Petabytes of data deployed around the world. You will collaborate with product owners and customers to deliver the best features, using resources and technologies efficiently. You will also help to engage other teams to onboard their services for data ingestion into the platform, aid in the tooling for analysis of the data, as well as transforming the data when needed to make it useful. You are detail-driven and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate is passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions and has experience working within a high-performance team.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will:
1. Work with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are translated into actionable roadmaps.
2. Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs to ensure the right solutions are delivered in a timely manner.
3. Drive engineering and integration decisions and timelines across multiple teams and organizations.
4. Establish metrics and indicators for business success and high-quality technical deliveries.
5. Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control.
6. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet business goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in technical product or program management.
2. Experience working directly with engineering teams.
3. Experience in software development.
4. Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
5. Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
2. Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
3. Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
