Sanderson are partnering with a leading health insurer is seeking a dynamic and experienced actuary to take on a pivotal role in driving commercial success and shaping the future of its consumer health insurance offerings. This senior leadership position oversees two high-performing teams-Consumer Pricing and Portfolio Management-tasked with pricing private medical insurance products and steering portfolio strategy across diverse customer and product segments. Reporting to the Head of Underwriting within the Commercial Markets & Product division, this role offers a unique blend of strategic influence, technical depth, and people leadership. What You'll Do Lead the development and execution of best-in-class consumer pricing strategies across portfolio, product, and benefit levels. Drive the success of the portfolio strategy, delivering expert insights and reporting to senior leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Markets, Product, Customer, and Sales teams to support innovative customer propositions. Champion the use of advanced analytics in partnership with the Analytics & Insights team to unlock value from sophisticated models. Manage and mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure robust governance through peer review and oversight of all pricing activities. Engage with internal stakeholders and external regulators to support strategic and compliant decision-making. What You Bring Qualified Actuary with at least 5 years post-qualification experience. Proven leadership and team management capabilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels. Demonstrated analytical acumen and problem-solving expertise. A track record of driving innovation and managing complex projects. Deep understanding of health insurance pricing, especially in a community-rated environment.
