This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic project environment, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality construction works. Purpose of the Role The Site Engineer will support project delivery by managing on-site operations, ensuring work is completed in line with design specifications, safety regulations, and programme requirements. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will coordinate subcontractors, resolve technical challenges, and act as a key liaison between site teams, clients, consultants and regulatory authorities. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules and specifications Monitor project progress, maintain accurate site records and prepare updates for the Project Manager Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure productivity and quality Conduct inspections to ensure construction adheres to drawings, quality standards and specifications Ensure compliance with all health, safety and welfare procedures, including inductions, toolbox talks and risk assessments Set out site works using total stations, GPS and other surveying equipment, maintaining high accuracy Manage plant, labour and materials, including monitoring day works and liaising with suppliers Address technical issues, interpret drawings and communicate design changes clearly to the team Act as main on-site contact for contractors, suppliers, inspectors and regulatory authorities Report regularly on progress, resource needs and any issues affecting schedules or budgets Work collaboratively with clients and consultants to resolve queries and maintain high-quality delivery Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of construction methodologies and Irish building regulations Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement Analytical and problem-solving capability to address on-site challenges efficiently Proficiency in construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail Team-oriented approach with strong relationship-building skills Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced construction environments Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field 35 years experience in a similar site engineering role Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects Strong familiarity with Irish construction regulations, standards and best practices For More Information For more information about this Site Engineer role or other opportunities, contact Eoghan Donohoe at Oradeo Recruitment confidentially on: or apply in confidence.
