Cloud Security Engineer Location: Dublin Full-Time | On-Site | €65,000 - €85,000 A large organisation in Dublin is expanding its technical security team and is now hiring an Intermediate Cloud Security Engineer. This position focuses on strengthening the security and reliability of cloud platforms, supporting architecture decisions, and helping teams operate secure, scalable environments. You'll work closely with platform, security, and engineering teams to improve cloud controls, troubleshoot issues, and guide projects toward secure design principles. What You'll Be Doing Assist in shaping secure cloud environments, ensuring systems follow best-practice designs. Support cloud network setup, including routing, segmentation, and access controls. Help maintain standard templates, guardrails, and automation for cloud deployments. Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code work using tools like Terraform. Work with engineering teams to harden workloads across container, serverless, and compute services. Monitor cloud activity, improve alerting, and assist with investigations when required. Help optimise cloud resources and track usage trends. Produce internal documentation and support teams adopting secure cloud practices. What You'll Need 2-5 years' experience working with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar). Solid understanding of cloud security concepts: IAM, resource policies, network security, etc. Comfortable using automation or scripting for deployment work (Python/Bash/PowerShell). Familiar with CI/CD flows and DevOps-style environments. Experience with container technologies is a bonus but not essential. Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical groups. Relevant certifications are welcome but not required.
